BF6 Battle Royale Goes Live Very Soon as a Complimentary Game Mode
Following months of rumors, the battle royale game type for BF6 is officially arriving. Recent talk indicating its arrival would happen alongside Season 1 were accurate. Fans can dive into the action starting tomorrow.
Launch Season Adding a Brand-New Arena, Style, and Weapons
Together with the battle royale addition, Season 1 is also beginning. It introduces a new map, a fresh game type, and new weapons. On top of that, Redsec is being introduced. An embedded teaser will become available at go-live, offering fans a taste of what's to come.
Complimentary Access Makes the Mode Open to All
Perhaps the most significant detail is that the battle royale mode will be F2P. Similar to popular games, you won't require to own the main title to join in. Some players have previously tried early versions of the experience. These playtests were held in a testing environment, which the studio described as their biggest fan involvement project.
The intense thrill during encounters with another squad can't be found in different BR game. It's like a true survival situation, and you really mind if you die or survive.
Even though I considered myself a skeptic earlier, I'm fully for the battle royale after playing it.
Such first impressions from testers have been extremely encouraging. Naturally, the mode may have evolved over the last month or two in terms of game balance and tempo. Still, early signs are strong that this new mode could emerge as a real competitor to popular titles. Some are hoping that the most effective firearms from the base title will carry over in the new mode.
