Former Physician Charged with Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- physician stands accused of performing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
